Sun May 17 - Thurs. May 21 * Glasgow/ Edinburgh

Finally, I know..... part 2 of Scotland/Glasgow, long awaited. Just jump right into it....continuation ...

Day 27 (Sun. May 17)
Slept in a bit, and just chilled out, we decided not to go anywhere today and was a good idea as the weather was up and down all day. I just worked on my Scotland blog, loaded the pics and checked out more hostels for Amsterdam. I booked my flight, but just not sure about the hostels….gggrrr. Then we went to ASDA again and got stuff for dinner, and some other stuff. Came home and I made chicken devan, was ok, but too saucey, still tasted good though. Then had some rolo cookies, so good! Then we watched Sweeney Todd, was good. Then we decided to turn in, going to Edinburgh tomorrow.
Day 28 (Mon. May 18)
Got up earlier, got ready and took the bus into city cente. Then walked to the Queens Station and got on the train to Edinburgh. It was a short ride, about 45 min, the weather was not too great but oh well. We walked up the road to the castle and paid 12gbp to get in. I kinda recognized it from years ago. We did a quick tour with a guide.

the dog cemetary in the castle and views from the top of the castle

this one was a close up

this is view to the castle from below in Endiburgh city center

Then went in to see the jewels (again no photos) and a few other buildings. Then we walked down Royal Mile and found a restaurant to eat at, was good.
Random Pics along the way

this is the Hub, a church now a restuarant and ya i had to pay him for a pic...lol

We walked to the end of Royal Mile and turned up a street to go find Carlton Hill (high point in Edinburgh) to take pics. So we walked along and then we found these stairs, “Jacobs Ladder”, there was over 100 steps, very high,

and we made it. Got up to Carlton Hill and took some great shots of the city.

Then we went down to Waverley Square, the shopping area, and went into at Swatch store, got my watch polished and took some more pics, got one of the castle from down below which you saw already above.

just a street shot
We made our way home on the train again, and then chilled out. I napped for half/hour, and then finished my week 1, Scotland blog posting.

Day 29 (Tues. May 19)
Got up at noon, was a decent day outside but I got online and stayed on for the whole day, looked up hostels in Amsterdam and it took that long to finally find one and book it. I started to read the reviews and it got really confusing who was good and who was not and why. Then I started to research the rest of my travels, where I want to go and how to get to them and places to see and do. Tommy got home and we watched Hot Fuzz, funny British cop movie, comedy. I watched a couple of episodes of some shows on Tommy's puter and then crashed. (sorry, was a reseearch day, those are important when your travelling)

Day 30 (Wed. May 20)
Got up and decided to do a load of laundrys so I chilled online for a bit. Then I got ready and went to the train and got a ticket to the science exhibition, got there and the tower was closed, crap! The tower is suppose to be one of the tallest buildings in Scotland and the only one that turns 360 degrees, so you can view the city below. I took a few pics of things along the way, the bridge ones are there because they are very significant in Glasgow, there is 21 bridges running along the River Clyde, so I took a pic of a few, the Millenium, (small grey one), the Bells Bridge, (the one with the cables) and the Clyde Arc.
the armidillo- concert hall, etc and the tower, I didn't go up
Got on the train, back to central station and I took a walk down Argyle st did some window shopping and stopped in a few. Grabbed a bite from Subway and went back to the flat, Tommy was home, ate, chilled, and got ready. We went to the Monkey Bar to do some speed dating, and well I have to say "where else would I be guaranteed to meet 10-20 men and woman in Glasgow. So you get 4 mins with each person and I was honest that I was travelling so not staying in Glasgow, right now anyways. Met some great people and now we also have some new followers of my blog. Hello guys! I came up with the idea of maybe doing speed dating in every country for that fact to meet all these new people, make new friends have some penpals, and it was interesting to talk to someone for 4 mins, but fun. Had a couple of drinks after and then heading back home, chilled and I deleted some music from my ipod to add some more tv shows on it...lol.

Day 31 (Thur. May 21) *One Month*
Got up to ok weather.Checked a few things online, and looked all my stuff for packing. Then got ready and off I went to meet Tommy for lunch. Got there just in time, and we walked down to the Indian restaurant, was very yummy and very full after. I walked down to city center and found the lighthouse it is an old building in Glasgow they turned into an exhibited and I think there are other offices in there. I went to the top, looking tower and took some pics,
this is the building from outside
Then I went down and just walked around again. I went into the St. Enoch mall and just in time for the rain, I walked around and got some ice cream, people watched and when I was ready to leave started raining again, so sat down and watched an episode of curb. Then I walked down to the John Lewis mall and met Tommy there.
this is a shot of Buchanan st. at 5pm, rush hour

We went and watched Angels and Demons, good movie. Home after, had a glass and half of wine, showered, repacked my bag and we watched another movie, Shaun of the Dead, funny British movie. (watch either of them, funny stuff.) Then to bed, cuz going to Amsterdam tomorrow. I imagine and well I actually know, I am going to have fun there, so next entry will be delayed again, sorry....I am in A-dam right now typing this, hee hee! Enjoy......and c ya soon!
